General Instructions
- All participants MUST produce a valid College ID card to be eligible for entry and accommodation. If the college ID card does not bear the photograph of the candidate then a valid photo identity card will also be required. Common photo ID cards are: Driver's License, College ID Card bearing Photo, Voter ID Card. If you do not have a photo ID card, please contact us at the earliest.
- Participants will also have to produce either an Original Bonafide Student Certificate issued by their college/institute or a copy of their college ID card attested by the Principal / HOD / any gazetted officer.
- All participants MUST bring two recent coloured photographs.
- All participants have to come and report at the hospitality desk for verification of their documents and Registration IDs, after which they will be provided with a Conscientia ID Card.
- IIST, being situated within the campus of the Vikram Sarabhai Space Center, is a restricted high-security area. Participants are therefore requested not to bring any electronic items (laptops, etc.) with them; any memory devices (pen drives, etc) are also NOT allowed inside the campus. Although mobile phones will be allowed, they will require the sanction of the CISF security and will be allowed only on production of a valid college ID card. The mobile phones MUST NOT be carried to the campus they must be kept in the hostel rooms. If any person is caught using mobile phones in the campus by the CISF then the phone will be confiscated.
- At the gate, the belongings of every participant will be thoroughly checked for any undesirable items.
- Participants who have been allotted accommodation should pay their fees (including a nominal security deposit) at the accommodation desk where they will get a receipt. Participants are requested to keep this receipt with them throughout their stay here at Conscientia. They may be asked to reproduce the receipts at any time so as to avoid unauthorised stay in the campus.
- At the time of check-out the participants are requested to collect their security deposits from the accommodation desk. The security deposit will not be refunded if the participant has caused property damage to the institute. Please carry your Conscientia ID card at the time of refund of security deposits.
- Smoking of cigarettes and consumption of alcohol inside campus is strictly prohibited, any participant found guilty of these will be asked to vacate the hostel room, and his/her security fee will not be refunded.
- Any student found guilty of possessing narcotics will be immediately asked to leave the campus. His/her security fee will not be refunded and legal action will be taken against the participant found guilty.
- Please refrain from physically hurting anybody intentionally; appropriate action will be taken against any participant found guilty.
- As Thiruvananthapuram has a moderate climate, you will not require any blankets or warm clothing.
- At the time of check-out the participants are requested to collect their security deposits from the hospitality desk. The security deposit will not be refunded if the participant has caused property damage to the institute.
- Conscientia 2010 and IIST will not be responsible for any mishaps that occur through the duration of stay for Conscientia 2010.
