Conscientia 2010 is IIST's first opportunity to offer and ensure a memorable experience for students from outside. At Conscientia, we will be glad to see you participate and we hope to make your trip to this land of natural beauty more than confortable. IIST will be able to provide limited accommodation to participants at the fest.

All participants MUST produce a valid photo ID card to be eligible for entry and accommodation. Common photo ID cards are: Driver's License, College ID Card bearing Photo, Voter ID Card. If you do not have a photo ID card, please contact us at the earliest.

General Features

• Accommodation will be provided beginning 1000hrs on March 4, 2010. You will be required to vacate the rooms by 1000hrs on March 8, 2010.


• Rooms will be provided on sharing basis.


• Those requiring accommodation will have to apply for it INDIVIDUALLY on the website. See Register tab for link to the registration form.


• For allotting accommodation, preference will be given to participants of workshops, finalist teams/individuals who have qualified events with qualifying rounds, and then on first-come-first-serve basis.


• Participants will also have to produce either an Original Bonafide Student Certificate issued by their college/institute or a copy of their college ID card attested by the Principal / HOD / any gazetted officer.


• You will be intimated by email/SMS about your accommodation status prior to Conscientia.


• Those allotted accommodation will be provided with mattresses and buckets. The climate in Thiruvananthapuram is moderate and does not require blankets or warm clothing.

Fees & Security

• A fee of Rs.500/- will be charged for the accommodation, along with a nominal refundable security deposit of Rs.300/-.
  
  
• Participants who have been allotted accommodation should pay their fees (including the security deposit) at the hospitality desk where they will get a receipt. Participants are requested to keep this receipt with them throughout their stay here at Conscientia. They may be asked to produce the receipts at any time so as to avoid unauthorised stay in the campus.

For the benefit of those who may not be allotted accommodation at the institute, a list of budget hotels and youth hostels in and around Thiruvananthapuram with contact details can be seen below. You are advised to make your bookings in advance and confirm tariffs beforehand.

The railway station, about 12km from our campus in Veli, is located at Thampanoor and a lot of hotels are in its vicinity.
