Event

A quiz on topics ranging from physics, mathematics to engineering subjects including logical questions and definitely questions relating to the latest happenings in the global technological market! Find out if you are the true TechWhiz!

Format

There will be two rounds:

Preliminary round
It will consist of a written test of 15 objective and 5 subjective questions.
Duration: 45 minutes

Final round
6 teams will be selected from the prelims. This will be a quiz round, the details of which will be released on the spot.

Further registrations, if any, will take place on the spot.

Rules and Regulations

• You must participate as individuals. If you have registered as teams before, we will consider you as separate participants when you arrive at the venue.
• The rules and regulations of the quiz will be disclosed on the spot.

Judgement

• The decision of the organisers/judges will be final and binding under all circumstances.
• The marks allotted for the subjective questions will be higher than that for the objective ones.

Participants are advised to go through magazines like EFY, DIGIT etc.

Sample Questions

• There hangs a precious gem, dangling by a thread. We'll give you the priceless stone if you tell us how to cut the thread without letting the gem fall; provided that you are in no way allowed to support the arrangement from below.
  
  
• A ball with a specific gravity of 0.85 falls from a height of 250 metres into a very deep tub of highly viscous fluid (s.g. 4.5). Will it ever rise up to the original height again? (Assume no air drag.)

• A book is numbered from pages 1 to 100. Someone tore off a few pages and now the sum of the rest of the pages is 4949. Tell us the total number of pages that were torn off and the page numbers as well!
