Are you fascinated by the behind the scenes action in a watch? Do you stop and take a look at the functioning of simple things like staplers, punch machines, etc.? Do you have a knack for knowing what mechanism has gone into the making of what machine?

Mechanisms form the backbone of a lot of the things we see around us and take for granted. From simple to complex, a large number of mechanisms work in the background of the different machines around us. This is a competition for you to guess and come up with efficient mechanisms for different systems.

Format

A set of questions will be released at the start of one day during the festival and students can solve it at their leisure, as long as they submit it before the specified time limit.

Rules and Regulations

• A team can have a maximum of 2 members.
• No answers will be taken after the specified time limit.
• You may submit any number of solutions.

Eligibility
Open to all college students with valid ID cards.

Judgement and Evaluation

The judgement and evaluation of the answers will be based on feasibility and energy efficiency of the design.

The decision of the judges/organisers will be final and binding on all.
