Event

How far can you go with a set of ice-cream sticks and other junk? Let's see your whacky design sense and ability to fix up stuff together to make it useful, take centrestage in this event, that will literally make you stick-'em up!

Format

The participants are given a specified number of items like paper cups, ice cream sticks, toothpicks etc. Using the items and the tools provided (scissors/cutters) they are required to construct a structure with maximum height, maximum width, minimum base area, using as many of the given items (whole) as possible.

The time limit is one hour.

Rules and Regulations

• A team may consist of a maximum of 2 members.
• Absolutely no adhesives are allowed.
• If any of the supplied items are damaged during the given time, the participants shall not receive replacements.
• The structures must be kept stable. We are not responsible if they collapse before the judges arrive!

Eligibility
Open to all college students with valid ID cards.

Judgement and Evaluation

Score points will be awarded based on the equation:
(3h+5b+2w+g)/a where
h = height,
b = width,
a = base area,
w = number of each item used whole, and
g = number of each item used broken.
The decision of the judges/organisers will be final and binding under all circumstances.
