Event

Set out on an adventurous challenge with your Robot as your sole warrior in a battle with the best and smartest robots from across the country! A race with other robots in Autronix, an all-out war in Carnage... Can your robot take it all and be the Last Bot Standing?

Format

This event comprises of 2 competitions as listed in the Competitions tab. Wireless remote-controlled robots can compete in each competition. You may choose to participate in both or any one of these two competitions.

Teams will be required to send in a picture and/or video of their robots by 28th February 2010. All pictures/videos sent will be kept strictly confidential. Before the event begins, all teams present and participating will have to register and their robots will be inspected by the organisers for conformity to rules specified. A simultaneous free run will be conducted after the registration for all participants together to ensure that there is no frequency interference among them.

General Rules

The following is a set of general rules and regulations. There may be some rules specific to the competitions, for which, please visit the corresponding links in the Competitions tab.

• A team making one robot may consist of a maximum of 4 members.
• Only wireless remote controlled robots will be allowed.
• Maximum weight: 10 kg
• Power restriction: 15V
• Size limitations: 30cm*20cm*20cm (l*b*h) with attachments removed or 30cm*30cm*30cm (l*b*h) with all the attachments fully deployed.
• Design restrictions:
  • Projectiles must NOT be released by the robot
  • No inflammable substances
  • No flames
  • No compressed fluids
  • No signal jammers
  • The robot should be land based.
• Teams are requested to deal with frequency disturbances by ensuring that their robot can be operated at their frequency with at least 2 other robots using the same frequency.
  OR
  The participants must provide 2 frequencies at which their robot can operate. In case of any frequency interference, the organisers will not be responsible.
• Upon registration, teams will be allotted a unique Registration ID. The allotted number for your team must be prominently displayed on the robot.
• When inspected, each robot must be at its maximum size; i.e. anything that protrudes from the robot must be fully deployed. Any violations of the constraints may disqualify a robot from the tournament.
• Participants must report at least 15 minutes before the start of the event.

Eligibility
Open to all college students with valid ID cards.

Safety

• All participants build and operate robots at their own risk.
• The participant must keep the safety of the observers in view while designing his/her robot. Each round has safety inspections. It is at the sole discretion of the organizers that your robot is allowed to compete. You are obligated to disclose all operating principles on inspection.

Scoring

The criteria for judgement, scoring and evaluation for individual competitions are mentioned on the respective links.

The decision of the judges/organisers will be final and binding under all circumstances.
