Into the Unknown...
“All truths are easy to understand once they are discovered; the point is to discover them.”
- Galileo Galilei (Italian natural Philosopher, Astronomer and Mathematician)
This huge and largely undiscovered universe is itself perhaps an open challenge, waiting to be met, waiting to be faced head on. And the path to its discovery, is the opening of one's own senses a little more with every achievement. Knowledge, is but the outcome of this discovery, and the sense of triumph associated with it, is beyond any material pleasure.
CISCO and IIST present Conscientia 2010, the second edition of the Annual Science and Technology Festival of the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology, Thiruvananthapuram. Latin for ‘knowledge’, Conscientia is a tribute to man's inquisitive nature and his constant urge to seek answers to the questions that flood his mind. It is a salute to the success this spirit has achieved, and a reminder of that which is yet to be uncovered.
Conscientia, this year, to be inaugurated by IIST's Chancellor, former President Bharat Ratna Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, will see a convergence of talent in both science and technology, the coming together of experience and novitiate. It will be a trigger for innovation, a journey into the unknown, a discovery of that which is lurking in the dark waiting to be uncovered.
Conscientia is a challenge, an invitation and a celebration. Come, experience and begin your journey into the unknown... |
